Prince Edward Island
We'll be leaving for Prince Edward Island within the week. What a lovely place, with delicious food, I must say.
Lobster and mussels and brand-new skinless baby potatoes will be on our plates. It's not hard to eat local when you're in the heart of place that epitomizes rural Canada.
We'll also spend some time in New Brunswick. Next time you're on the East Coast, don't miss New Brunswick and don't expect that what you see from the TransCanada Highway is what the province looks like. Not at all.
It's a little like the planners said, "let's find the most dense forest, and the most uniform terrain, and plunk the Highway right through it all so no one notices how lovely this place is." Don't be fooled.
Anyway, this blog may be quiet for the next few weeks because obviously, I will be far from the Prairies, but the garden will be growing and we'll be cooking up lots of good ideas for our locally grown catering company, even if we like the taste of lobster now and then.
